4 Facilitation Tips for New Laughter Yoga Leaders | #4

Facilitation Tip Number Four. Use best
practices for exercise selection and ordering of exercises. Since the idea of
laughing without a mental stimulus such as a joke may seem strange to
participants at first, help your participants to ease into laughter
exercise with careful exercise selection. When beginning a session a best practice
is to select Laughter Exercises that incorporate actions that participants
are already familiar with. By doing so, adding laughter on top is not too much
of a stretch for participants. For instance, you might choose to perform
exercises like Waving Laughter or Telephone Laughter early in your session
exercises such as these are great introductory Laughter Exercises because
these exercises simply add laughter and playful interaction on top of already
familiar actions. A good leader varies the pace of exercises starting slow and
building up slowing down and building up and so on. Watch the group. This will give
you an idea of the needed pacing and when to incorporate a breathing exercise.
Vary the three types of laughter exercises throughout the session. if
