touch your toes, but this is a way that you can do some of the postures with assistance
of the ropes. Most of the people have a harder time doing this type of an opening than coming
forward. We spend most of the time with our chest collapsed, our hamstrings shortened
so our whole way of experiencing life can be very heavy and closed in. Yoga teaches
us how we can expand our energy and our body so that everything feels light and open, happy
and joyful. Now we’re going to be showing you another way of experiencing Ustrasna taking
the same shape of Ustrasna but with the assistance of the ropes. This is a way of using gravity
and traction to help you find this pose. I’m going to show you quickly how to do this.
I realize most people don’t have a set of ropes in their home, but just to give you
an ideal of another way of assuming the posture and give you information and ways to experience
the posture.
