I’m Linda Black. Welcome to Yoga for beginners.
I will be taking you on an incredible journey of self discovery through yoga. On our journey,
it’ll be helpful to have a few items. A yoga sticky mat, blanket, strap or towel, and four
inch foam blocks. You could use the yellow pages if you’ve got them hanging around. There
a few items that we won’t need like a competitive attitude, self judgment or the ego. Leave
those behind. Just so you know, it’s a myth that you need to be flexible in order to do
yoga. In fact, a consistent practice of yoga will increase flexibility as well as increasing
joint stabilization and mobilization. Strength, cardio vascular endurance, are all, will all
be increased. And remember to have fun while you’re doing this class. We’ll begin with
the breath seated in a cross legged position for our next frame.
