Chair Yoga : Chair Yoga Benefits


In this series we are going to be talking
about chair yoga so what we are going to need is a mat, especially if we are on a slippery
floor and a chair that is well balanced so if we are holding on to the back of this chair
so if we are holding on to the back it is not going to tip over on us so we want something
that has got a nice wide base and is fairly good weight as well. Now chair yoga is a great
activity for anyone with limited mobility, seniors, anyone with maybe a larger body type
or people with disabilities as well. It is a great way to enjoy all of the benefits of
yoga like increased circulation, increased strength and flexibility and enjoying those
benefits even if you don’t feel like you are able to get up and down from the floor and
back into a standing position so we are going to be moving through some warm ups and we
will be choosing some poses seated as well as standing and let’s get started.
