DELF B2 Nouveau Format (2020) – Compréhension Orale 🎧✍️

DELF B2 Nouveau Format (2020) – Compréhension Orale 🎧✍️

Good morning. So, today I’m going to explain the changes… that has been made in the DELF and DALF since the year 2020. So, in this video I’m going to focus mainly on the DELF B2. And then we’re going to do a training exercise… which corresponds to the oral comprehension of the DELF B2, and exercise number 1. So subscribe to the channel, if you still haven’t done it, to progress in French, and let’s get started. So, just a little parenthesis before we start, because just today a new course on “français avec Pierre” came out. And it’s no coincidence that this is the course: “Get the DELF B2, new format”, i.e. it is totally adapted to the new format starting in the year 2020. So there you go, as always when you start a new course, well, there’s an offer, so take advantage of it, I leave you all the links below the video in the description or they might show up on the video. So yes, formats are evolving. So, what has changed mainly with regard to the DELF in general? Well, it is that before, for comprehensions, whether it’s oral or written, there were certain questions that were called “Open Questions”. It means; the candidate had to write the answer, and then often to justify it. So that’s… well that’s the entire DELF set actually: there will be no more open questions, and there will be only multiple-choice questions. Which is basically, you’ve got… usually… three possibilities, and you have to check one of them. Now, I’m going to focus on the DELF B2 for the general public. So, before, for oral comprehension, there were two audio files, two audio texts. So there you go, two exercises And so, now one of the big differences is that there are three exercises. So there are two audio files, both of them… in the first two exercises, this is a fairly long audio. And the third exercise is three little audio exercises. And now for reading comprehension, Well, it’s a little bit the same: Before there were two exercises, All right? With a fairly long text in each exercise; and now, well, there’s going to be three exercises. So the first two, there’s quite a long text, and the third exercise actually has three little texts, okay? And so, as I have said, there are now only multiple-choice questions, whether for oral or reading comprehension. So, before we move on to another oral comprehension exercise, just a word about the written and spoken productions. Well, actually, for DELF B2, that doesn’t change. So for the writing you’re going to have only one subject, you have no choice, you can’t choose, you have an hour to do it, and you have to write about 250 words. And for speaking, well, you have two subjects to choose from, and you have half an hour to prepare, and it lasts… after the handover, it lasts 20 minutes. So, just a quick word about deadlines, that is to say how are they going to set this up? Well, it’s actually going to happen gradually. That is, just because it’s 2020, that all of a sudden the old formats are going to disappear. So it’s going to be progressive. And, in fact, whether – when you’re going to do your exam – if it’s an old format. from a classic format as always or from the new format, well, the best thing is for you to ask your test center. In any case, according to current official information, normally in 2023 it’s over, there won’t be any classic formats anymore, there will be only the new formats. Well, then I’ll leave you now with the exercise. So this is exercise number 1. of oral comprehension of the DELF B2 all public, new format. The questions will appear on the screen, the audio will come right after that, I’m only going to put the audio here in the video once, but normally you get two taps. So you can go back and listen to it a second time. If you prefer, you can also find this exercise in our blog article. I’ll leave you the link in the description, and you can even do the exercise… directly in the article, okay? And you have direct correction, so it may be much more convenient for you. Don’t forget there’s an offer on this new course. to pass your DELF B2, with the new format. So, enjoy it, I’ll leave you now with the exercise, good luck and see you soon. So long.***
