Gentle Yoga Poses : Yoga Sitting Right Spinal Twist


Sitting Spinal Twist on the right. You take
the left foot underneath the right leg, and take your right foot on the opposite side
of the left leg. Try to focus that foot as flat on the floor and sit up toll so your
spine goes long. You take your left hand right to that right knee and as you take that hand
to that knee just keep guiding that right in. Sometimes it’s helpful to breathe in deep
through your nose and exhale you bring it in a little bit deeper. It enables you to
take your arm just a little bit deeper around there. Now, you’re opening up the right hip,
lengthening the right thigh, and you sit up straight and tall so your spine is long. And
take that right hand right out. Again, like somebody’s touching you, taking that hand
away from you. And then let your eyes follow that hand and so you find your neck is twisting
and then let the hand go right down behind you so the fingertips touch the floor, your
shoulders go right back, and look right over your right shoulder. Now, change your breath
to three short breaths in, a long breath out. Three short breaths in, long breath out. Your
head is straight and tall, your neck is long. Once again, three short breaths in, a long
breath out. Now let that right arm come up and come all the way back around to the center
and just release and stretch the legs right out.
