How To Use Yoga Blocks To Release Back Tension & Pain | Clever Yoga

Hi my name is Maryann with clever yoga
and I’m gonna show you how to use these yoga blocks to help release back tension
and relieve back pain so clever yoga blocks are typically used like any other
blocks as a yoga prop the coolest thing about them is you can also use
them as pressure points to lay down and relax on especially when you’re in
savasana so placing these blocks on the ground you can focus on putting one on
your mid spine so far as gonna lay on this block I know it looks very
interesting because it’s a square position but the flatness really
supports that spying and their round so they’re not sharp at all and then you
can move this one in whatever way you feel like suits your head height from my here here we go like that here we go and so you want to position this kind of in your mid back
up to where the spine meets your lower your hips or your glutes and then you
want to place this right on the back of your head so play with it and scoot it
wherever you feel like it’s necessary and then relax and see I can sit down
into it and open up into my service in my hair just feel that heart center really
open as you breathe deeply into it you know so try this out in the opposite
manner if you want to stretch out a little bit of your lower back place it right here on the lower back
this time in a horizontal position and then you can go ahead and flattened this
guy out so again play with that if you want to go further back you take the
block away but this gives you a nice lower back stretch and this time my
glutes are not gonna hit the ground are kind of slightly higher your kind of
dangling in this position but you can just relax and get a little bit of
acupressure with the yoga blocks here so I hope you enjoy that little tip on how to
relieve back pain and back tension with some yoga blocks check out clever yoga
