I’m Rachelle Grossman with today’s health
news. Do you think yoga is just for ladies? Think again. In fact, it might help men with
side effects from prostate cancer. According to a new study, prostate cancer patients undergoing
radiation treatment saw a reduction in side effects when they practiced yoga twice a week.
Specifically, the men saw reduced fatigue, erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence
— all common side-effects of prostate cancer or radiation. Now, these results were based
a very small study sample of patients, however, larger studies are underway and if you are
interested in getting started in yoga, don’t forget to talk to your doctor about it first.
