My First Yoga Experience using a Yoga App | Here’s What to Know About Yoga


Hello FitnessPhreeks and welcome to my channel. In this video, I’m going to share my experience
using a yoga app for the very first time. I’m just going to go straight to the point
and dive right into it. So I learnt about this app on Instagram,
you know one of the sponsored ads that they do I thought to check it out on App store, so
I downloaded the app a long time ago, but I never got around to using it. I finally needed to do some yoga because I
was travelling and I had to go away from my usual workout routine of going to the gym. And uhmm…I did the yoga. So this is what the app looks like from the
home page, its called Yogawave, and there are different courses – core yoga, postnatal,
weight loss. And these courses depend on your fitness goals,
I presume. So for me, I went with core yoga because I
felt I wanted to improve my core and this is like a little summary of what core yoga
can benefit you and yerp! that’s basically what its about. So when you choose a class, you have the option
of viewing the different poses and just kind of reading about them and maybe trying to
perfect them before you actually get to start the class. On the first day, oh my goodness! I saw myself sweating in places I didn’t know
I could sweat – like the back of my hands, my arm like imagine when you have sweat dripping
from your arm like my pore as in I couldn’t explain it. I was you know there’s something
about yoga that makes it look like it’s a calm, cool and collected exercise that you
don’t even sweat or anything but my experience was completely different from what I expected. It was mad…I wish I can really really express
myself more than I’m doing now but it was mad. I was shaking. I can’t believe that a simple position like
this…can actually make me shiver and quiver like my legs were some jellyfish or something. Honestly, it was a wonderful experience but
overall, I would recommend some yoga because after the workout, I felt really calm and
relaxed, you know how people feel after they do yoga. Although I need to perfect some of the poses
that were given in the exercise. I’m sure once I perfect them I’m going to
have a blast and I intend to include yoga in my weekly routine like maybe once a week
out of the four or five times that I workout. Before I forget, it’s actually a paid app
but you get to use one week free so I used up my free week and I paid for a second week
but I’m still thinking about whether to continue my weekly subscriptions which I don’t think
I will, if i’m honest with you. For now, maybe in the future, but for now
I don’t think i’ll continue this paid subscription. I might just look for a completely free yoga
app at this time and if I’m not completely satisfied with what I get from a free app,
I might just come back to this one. Anyway, if you are a yogist please share your
