She’s expecting her second child early next
year with her fiancé Dane Goodson. And Casey Batchelor is determined to help
fellow expectant mums with her new Pregnancy & Post Natal Bliss Programme and break the
stigma surrounding exercising while pregnant. The Yoga Blitz founder, 35, spoke exclusively
about her second pregnancy, the pressure on mothers-to-be and why she’s put her wedding
plans ‘on hold’ for now. Despite being in her third trimester, Casey
proved she is still as flexible as ever as she hit the beach during a recent trip to
Dubai, demonstrating some of her plan’s gentle flows as she modelled a floral bikini.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star is thrilled her first born Florence is going to be so
close in age to her second child, although she admits she ‘must be mad’ to have two
under two. Casey is keen to break the stigma surrounding
exercising while pregnant, with the likes of Lucy Mecklenbugh recently revealing she
had been trolled for sharing her workouts while expecting a baby.
The down-to-earth model said: ‘I think it’s bad Lucy’s getting trolled, she’s a fitness
girl, that’s what her body is used to. If you’ve got a very active exercise regime
before pregnancy and you go to the gym a lot, it’s fine to continue, if that’s what
your body is used to. She also revealed her new plan can help with
some of the post-partum side effects including anxiety and depression.
‘During pregnancy, your hormones are everywhere, one minute you can feel happy and positive,
the next minute you want to cry. With the yoga, breathing really helps. It’s a form
of meditation, it’s great for mental health’, she revealed.
‘Having a baby can be a lonely and daunting experience, you don’t talk to some of the
friends you used to, you become stuck indoors, it can be really isolating. It’s okay, everyone
is in the same boat.’
