let’s talk about eating a rainbow now how do you think we could eat a rainbow should we just flap our arms really hard and fly up and no I’m just being silly right you could just go find the pot of gold right and then climb up and what do you think Nathan oh you can eat different okay not that kind of okay we’re thinking about it help these colored foods what do you think is this what I’m talking about what where do these food colors come where do these come from these candies where did the did you have an idea of where these colors have come from they’re artificial colors what are artificial colors were they make color their fake color yeah they’re they’re made in a factory they’re some chemicals right so I think you guys know where I’m getting to right here is that a beautiful rainbow that is a beautiful rainbow and where do those colors come from patina hey they come from nature and you see all these colors every different color of the rainbow like the color you’re wearing red can you think of some red foods that are good for you apples apples right anything else tomatoes tomatoes you know what tomatoes have in them they have something called lycopene can you guys say lycopene like exactly like a pain is a really good biochemical and it helps your heart it’s really good for making your heart strong how about orange foods can you come up with some orange juice yeah so orange and the other colors have a lot of something called beta carotene in them and you guys ever he knows what carrots do for you what do they help I say they really help your eyesight so beta-carotene it’s really good for your eyesight you’re wearing one of my favorite color for fruits and vegetables Nathan green you name a couple green foods that are good for your body artichokes artichokes those fun steamed up they’re just fun to eat right yeah lettuce lettuce and there’s all kinds of lettuce you can get the darker the better the darker of the leafy greens the better right you guys like kale and you guys like kale sesame seeds yummy I’m coming over to your house for a little dinner garlic garlic is also it’s on here right it’s on here under the white brown and garlic has something called allicin that sounds like somebody’s name doesn’t it and it’s very very good for your body and very detoxifying and the thing is when you eat all the different colors of the rainbow they magnify each other’s effects you guys know what magnified means right they multiply so it doesn’t mean it’s just 1 plus 2 it’s like 2 times 2 2 times 4 and when you eat different color there’s certain foods that actually boost the internal SPF of your skin do you guys know what that means SPF what’s SPF exactly so SPF a sun protection factor by eating lots of different colors of the rainbow your own skin has extra SPF in it from that isn’t that cool so one of the things I like to do each one of you guys has a card in front you that has all the different foods based on the different colors and I like to encourage people to look at those and decide what are the ones you like now and what are the ones you want to try do you guys like something from every color already like in the blue there’s black beans and blackberries and eggplant raise your hand if you like eggplant if you try dead plant yeah that’s a little more advanced that’s a good one to try that could be on your to try list right
