Yoga Mudra for Increasing Self Confidence | Vajra Mudra

Hi I’m Caren Baginski a yoga and
meditation teacher for sensitive and empathic women and today I’m going to
teach you a mudra for increasing self-confidence mudras are purposeful
ways of placing the body to influence how energy flows sometimes they’re
practiced with the face but most often you’ll see them as simple hand gestures
by placing the fingertips together the sensory and motor nerves awaken subtle
energy through the brain allowing you to become a lot more present in your mind
body and spirit practicing yoga for building self-confidence is probably a
lot different than other things you may have tried with mudra we’re not
manufacturing something new or calling in something outside of ourselves
instead you’re awakening to your inherent capacity for deep self
confidence so that you can live authentically as your true self in the
world today we’ll practice Vadra mudra a mudra for self-confidence and self
esteem and Vadra mudra can translate in Sanskrit two ways the first is diamond
and the second is Thunderbolt and when you think about the inherent qualities
of those two things a diamond is indestructible and a thunderbolt is a
powerful force when you put those two things together they become that deep
unshakeable personal power and self-confidence that you have in
yourself energetically through the chakra system
we believe that your personal power is found in your third chakra and that is
your solar plexus or money pora it’s the space that exists above the navel and
just below the ribs let’s practice Vadra mudra now to
balance the energy at the solar plexus along with a brief guided meditation for
confidence to begin touch the index fingers down to the tips of the thumbs
then press those fingertips together along with the third finger meeting at
the top bring the rest of the fingers down in
toward the palm until you notice the diamond shape starting to form place the
middle fingers forward the thumbs facing toward you and Vadra mudra will sit at
the solar plexus if it’s comfortable close your eyes now or simply gaze down
as we enter our brief guided meditation release any tension
in your middle finger tips or your index fingers and thumbs
so that your hands become a bit softer and full of ease now feel the abdomen begin to
participate in your breath moving in and out notice how the rib cage expands on your
inhale and relaxes on your exhale feel the space between the fingers that
are touching holding Vaughn
nutri as you become more fully aware
slower movement of your breath since the length of your spine become present to any sensation that’s
here in your abdomen or your hands know that there is nothing you need to
control or do here allow feeling and sensation to come to
you in this space what is one thing you know
to be absolutely true it could be as silly as I like dogs or
as sacred as I am divine bring one thing you know to be true into
the space of your abdomen expand that feeling of certainty through
your breath feel it go into every cell of your body now drop the statement
and become absorbed with the feeling aligned with your truth notice if there is a temperature or a
color at the solar plexus or the hands whatever is here is welcome be exactly as it is you now drop all doing even relax the breath back into a
natural rhythm rest in the quiet silence of presence
and stillness you bow your chin to your chest and release the hand gesture stretching
gently through the fingers route your palms onto your thighs or your knees and feel the pressure of the hands
against your legs as well as the pressure of the legs
against whatever you’re sitting on inhale to the crown of your head exhale to the soles of your feet present
within your whole body let’s come back into the space together
opening the eyes and lifting the chin I’d love to see your mudra in action so
