Hi, my name’s Cindy Master with Yoga Etc studio
on behalf of Expert Village. This is April, and she’s going to help me demonstrate in
this clip, the side crane or parsma bacasama. So she’s starting out in squat. Notice how
her spine is nice and lengthened. She’s going to take her left elbow to her left hip, and
her right elbow right below her right knee. Good. So she’s going to come over to the side,
and she’s going to use her elbows just like a little shelf, just to come up on her side.
Notice how she looks forward, so that the energy is falling forward, so she isn’t falling
backwards or on her head. Whenever she feels ready, she’s going to go ahead and extend
her legs long. Good. Then, using her core of course, she’s going to extend her legs
in the opposite direction. Beautiful. Then she’s slowly going to come down. Good. Back
to her squat. That’s the side crane balance.
