Yoga Seated & Supine Poses : Thunderbolt Yoga Pose

We’re going to review Vajrasana, Thunderbolt
Pose. So we’re going to take ourselves out of our sitting pose into our knees so that
we’re sitting, “Jen can you turn to the side please?”, so that you’re sitting on your heels.
Now, right from the get go, I can tell you this needs to take time to be able to stretch
out the quad, your thigh muscles. So, if there’s discomfort in your knees, it’s a place you’re
going to be taking your blocks an slide your blocks between your legs, so that you lift
yourself up, so you don’t have such an angle, such a press on the knees. And then, be able
to sit with comfort for the knees. So you can use one block or ten block. Again, we
want to be sure that we’re stretching the right muscle and not doing any damage to your
joints. So then, once you find that where your comfortable, you’re going to again, going
to lead the hips under the shoulders, you’re going to let out the crown of your head for
lengthen your spine and descend your shoulders and just spend some time melting into this
pose.
