Yoga with Lorrie Lynch: Cat/Cow Pose

Yoga with Lorrie Lynch: Cat/Cow Pose

This simple cat and cow movement helps
the spine stay more supple. So come onto your hands and knees with your hips stacked
over your knees and your shoulders
stacked over your wrists. Your back will become flat as a table,
which is why we call this tabletop. As you inhale deeply, drop your
belly and move your gaze upward. This is the cow pose. As you exhale, pull the abdominals
up toward the spine. Drop the head down toward the floor. You’ll look like a Halloween cat. Do that maybe six or eight
times, or more if you like. Remember, this is about your
body and what feels good in it.
